Mera was once a Crystalian who was forced from the planet because of her plans to covet Death's powers. She has been jealous of the older guardian ever since she was born. She tried to steal Death's power before the fall of Crystalia, but Genga banned her from the planet. After several years of waiting till all the guardians had reached the correct age to fight and gaining followers, she attacked the planet. Death put her and her minions in a sleep until the guardians were reborn. Unfortunately she woke up before the guardians and sent two of her followers to the planet to make sure that Death would not be awakened. She did not succeed. Mera goes after the elemental spheres of the senshi and guardians while on Earth until Death puts an end to her.
